On April 12th, 1947, the British cargo ship THE VICEROY, built in 1929 by Ailsa Shipbuilding Co. and owned by Hay John & Sons, on voyage from Antwerp to Aberdeen with a cargo of fertiliser, was sunk by a mine off Borssele, near Vlissingen. 8 people lost their lives Read more at wrecksite:
