Son of the late John Aitken, 105 West Blackhall Street. Previously employed by McKechnie butchers in Gourock. He laso had run a confectionary shop at 95 Roxburgh Street. Trained as a rear gunner in Canada. Three brothers in the services
Lancaster III ED429 Took off 2301 12 June 1943 from Skellingthorpe. Hit by Flak and blew up over the Ruhr crashing at B_vinghausen in the southern outskirts of Castrop Rauxel.
