Husband of Sheila M Dunlop, the Manse, Lochgilphead and 96 Eldon Street, Greenock. "Teddy", as he was known to his family, was from Scotland. He is known to have been trained aboard H.M.S. Conway from 1923-1925. He served aboard B Class destroyer H.M.S. Keith from 1938 to 1939. He was posted to Hood immediately thereafter.

He married Sheila Dunlop on 18 January 1941 in Greenock. He was 30 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
